This is a magic history, so funny, and full of situations that will make you laugh. It's also full of characters that belong to the Spanish idiosyncrasy the strict priest, the Guardia Civil, the old devout women, the village idiot... there's even a lost soul wandering around the woods. The great Alfredo Landa heads a cast that gathered together the best two generations of Spanish scene from Fernando Rey to Encarna Paso, from Manuel Alexandre to María Isbert... A cast like that would be just unthinkable nowadays. El Bosque Animado was the first movie of José Luis Cuerda's trilogy of rural comedies (after this one he made the surreal Amanece Que No Es Poco, and Así En El Cielo Como En La Tierra. Those are movies so personal that stress the Spanish culture. The young directors should take note of films like El Bosque Animado, instead of trying to be the new enfant terrible and imitating US worst cinema.

Lois Ames is devoted to her job as the editor of a magazine, and her wealthy husband Fred is equally dedicated to polo and parties. Lois's long hours drive her secretary to quit, and she replaces her with Tom Sheridan, who happens to be in the office demonstrating a rowing machine. Tom likes the work and continues to advance until he is indispensable to Lois. Ruth Holman, Tom's fiancée, is jealous of Tom's relationship with Lois and with some reason, as he is falling in love with her. In the meantime, Fred is having an affair with Ann Le Maire, a woman whose interests are closer to his own. Because he feels his love for Lois is hopeless, Tom quits his job and plans his marriage to Ruth. Lois tries to patch things up with Fred, but he suggests that they divorce instead. She threatens to tell Lois's husband about their relationship, which leaves the way clear for Lois to announce her pending divorce. Ruth breaks off her engagement to Tom, and he immediately asks Lois to marry him.

No other cast has been given much exposure and passing on the buck is the way of corporate life has been perfectly narrated . At points the movie seems going slow but suddenly picks up . Madhvani has been able to drumming up the tensions and also able to sustain it . A new trend set by Madhvani , the main cast carries the whole movie on hisher shoulder, whether it was Sonam Kapur or Sushmita Sen and now Kartik Aarayan .
