A sassy parrot and a free-spirited librarian upend the well-ordered life of a solitary man. Lyman (Jackson Hurst) is a loner, working the graveyard shift for the Courtesy Patrol. When a green parrot flies in to his trailer he becomes obsessed with finding its owner, which leads him to Fiona(Rachel Nichols). She has been eyeing Lyman from a distance and decides to help with his parrot search, whether he wants her to or not. Along with her basset hound, they set out on a quest to find the bird’s previous owners and Fiona begins to unravel the mysteries of Lyman's past. 由好莱坞大导演史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格（StevenSpielberg）担任制片的科幻电视剧《陨落星辰》（FallingSkies），已经正式续订第3季。尽管第二季的收视率并不如人意，但这并不妨碍TNT电视台对于斯皮尔伯格这块金字招牌的信任。去年，由史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格担任主创的科幻类美剧共有两部——《陨落星辰》和《泰若星球》（TerraNova）。由于收视率和制作经费的问题，福克斯电视台取消了续订《泰若星球》第二季的计划，但《陨落星辰》却成功与TNT续订第二季，从今年的6月17日开始，该剧第二季已经正式开始播映。尽管顶着斯皮尔伯格的名号，而且第一季的收视效果也不错，然而《陨落星辰》第二季却出师不利，由于当时正进行NBA季后赛的总决赛（NBAFinals），因此《陨落星辰》第二季首映时只有450万观众收看，与第一季相比，首映的收视率下降了24个百分点。不过，由于该剧在115个海外市场取得了不俗的收益，因此几乎没人质疑TNT电视台续订第三季的计划，而现在双方终于正式公布了这一消息。对于续订《陨落星辰》第三季，TNT电视台的节目总监米夏埃尔·赖特（MichaelWright）非常高兴的表示：《陨落星辰》是一个最好的电视故事，这部强大的电视剧拥有史诗般的规模，全体工作人员的水平也很棒，我们已经等不及《陨落星辰》剧组给我们呈现的第三季了。
